Dear Journalist,
This year, the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences will be held in Brisbane, Australia, from 24-28 September. Registration for members of the press is now open.
What’s on offer Sustainability is core to addressing global challenges, as exemplified by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In Brisbane, FIP will gather experts from around the world under the theme “Pharmacy building a sustainable future for healthcare — Aligning goals to 2030”, to share their knowledge on a wide variety of subjects with pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists and pharmacy educators. A preliminary programme is expected in April.
The congress is supported by the Australasian Pharmaceutical Science Association, the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia.
International discussions that shape the future of pharmacy take place at the FIP Council Meeting. Likely agenda items include a new policy statement on the role of pharmacists in vaccination across the life-course and updates of policies on antimicrobial resistance, disaster management, and green pharmacy. The Council Meeting is scheduled to start on the morning of 23 September (a day before the official opening of the congress), and to continue on 24 and 28 September.
Journalists in attendance also have access to new pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences research from across the globe through poster exhibitions and presentations. Join us to hear about the latest developments from around the world!
Media services Journalists and editors at the congress will have use of a media room and will receive press releases under embargo. Our team will endeavour to make your reporting as easy as possible. Presentation slides will be available exclusively to press in attendance and professional images will be made available.
Press are also invited to register for social events, such as the Welcome Reception — I’m sure you know, it’s often the conversations taking place on the fringes that are the sources of great stories!
