On the 7th of April 2022, the President of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) Pharm. (Prof.) Cyril Odianose Usifoh FPSN paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director of Worldwide Commercial Ventures Limited (WWCVL) Mr. Santosh Kumar at his business premises in Lagos.
Upon arrival, the MD; Mr. Santosh Kumar, and other team members were briefly introduced to the President by Pharm Victor Adekanye who is also a staff of WWCVL, in the same vein, the National Secretary of the PSN Pharm. Gbenga Falabi FPSN also did an introduction to the PSN delegates. The MD of WWCV gave a brief presentation detailing the history, expansion, and current global capabilities in logistics and distribution activities of the organization.
The PSN President in his remark thanked Mr. Santosh Kumar for his warm reception and also for the support he has given to PSN over the years noting that despite the economic situation of the country, WWCVL has been exceptional and efficient in its approach to quality marketing of Pharmaceuticals and in providing projects that are beneficial to Nigerians. The President Pharm. (Prof.) Cyril Usifoh FPSN commended Mr. Santosh and the World Wide Commercial Ventures team for upholding the standard of Good Pharmaceutical Practice and creating an enabling environment for staff in the organization. In his response to the PSN President's remark, Mr. Santosh said he has heard so many good tidings about the President and that it is fitting for someone in academia and with his reputation to be elected President of PSN. He also expressed his happiness at the level of growth and standard of practice which has led to recognition from the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
The National Secretary Pharm. Gbenga Falabi commended WWCVL for a job well-done, noting that with their level of improvement over the years WWCVL can only be placed among the best in the industry. Pharm Lanre Gafar, FPSN said the company could do something about expired products in the country, possibly creating a proper disposal method that can serve as a source of revenue. The event was brought to a close after a brief tour of the logistics distribution facilities and a thank you closing remark from the PSN President Pharm. (Prof.) Cyril Usifoh, FPSN
