The Nigerian Journal of Pharmacy (PSNNJP) is the official organ of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria with its first print in 1961 (as Journal of Pharmacy) and with the unbroken publication since 1970 (as PSNNJP).

The PSNNJP is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, and case studies on all aspects of pharmaceutical sciences and technologies, pharmacy practice and related clinical aspects, and pharmacy education. The journal publishes articles covering developments in drug absorption and metabolism, pharmacokinetics and dynamics, drug delivery systems, drug targeting, and nanotechnology. It also covers the development of new systems, methods, Clinical Pharmacy, and techniques in pharmacy education and practice. The scope of the journal also extends to cover advancements in toxicology, cell and molecular biology, biomedical research, clinical and pharmaceutical microbiology, pharmaceutical biotechnology, medicinal chemistry, phytochemistry, and nutraceuticals. The Journal reports society news, with special attention to innovations in the Nigerian and African pharmacy practice space.

Published by one of the oldest professional associations in Nigeria, the PSNNJP celebrates the traditional arts of pharmacy practice and embraces innovative scientific processes that provide answers to current problems. We look forward to your partnership with us as we change the world through innovative and translational research.

Welcome to PSN Foundation

The PSN Foundation, a subsidiary of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria was founded in 2016 and registered with Corporate Affairs Commission, Incorporated trustees  CAC/IT/NO 96485 dated 29th March 2017. The main aim is to further serve the Nigerian pharmaceutical community and provide humanitarian assistance to the general public, through the provision of pharmaceutical assistance and relief to alleviate the sufferings of the general public during National emergencies and at other times. The foundation’s activities will enable some Pharmacists to receive grants and scholarships for Research/Development and indeed education in the expansive field of pharmacy practice.

The foundation will also present awards in recognition of excellence to deserving pharmacists, Groups, and other individuals periodically. The foundation Awards program will recognize contributions to health care quality and safety in four categories. The foundation will collaborate with similar institutions in achieving its aims and objectives.

The focus of the foundation is to promote the health status of individuals across the country. This is a responsibility we had been carrying quietly but the foundation will give us the structure and resources to make more impact.
