PSN DONATES HAND SANITIZERS, FACE MASKS AND OTHER ITEMS TO LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT

FIP WORLD CONGRESS OF PHARMACY – SEVILLE 2020

The President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Pharm. (Mazi) Sam Ohuabunwa FPSN led a delegation of the National Executive Committee of the Society comprising of the National Secretary, Pharm. Emeka Duru FPSN, Pharm. Folake Adeniyi MAW and National Chairman, Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria, Pharm. Samuel Adekola MAW to donate items to the Lagos State Government in support of its fight and indeed our fight against COVID-19 pandemic. The team was received by Dr Fred Oladeinde – Commissioner for Transport and the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Gbenga Soyannwo

Items donated were:

  1. 2000 pieces of 110ml alcohol-based hand sanitizers;
  2. 100 pieces of 500ml alcohol-based hand sanitizers;
  3. 1000 bottles of 100ml NCP antiseptic;
  4. 100 units of N-90 face mask.

Pharmacists have continued to play the vital role as a frontliner in this fight against COVID-19 from producing drugs, to counselling patients and dispensing of drugs.

Pharmacists and the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria will continue to consolidate on the efforts of all to ensure we win this.
